WordPress, and every developer will tell you that, is not good software. But of course you can argue about that for hours.

WordPress is just way too big for most uses. Nobody needs the main part of the software and the specifications of the software manufacturers are usually so tricky that everyone complains, but simply nothing changes.

As for the plug-ins, I can't understand why you just install any plug-in without checking the origin. While users pay meticulous attention to data protection, security, etc., they don't seem to care at all on their own website. I've already had websites as an order on the table that were littered with umpteen plug-ins. The users no longer knew what one or the other plug-in is for.

WordPress is more of a plague than good. Don't get me wrong though. You can certainly get a lot done with WordPress, but you should also properly deal with the system, the dangers and the use of the software. An example: Why use WordPress for a web shop when there is special software for it? I don't drive a 40-ton truck to work every day either. I use a car for that. Strangely nobody understands that there is software for special purposes. Oh, I could write about it here for a long time....
