Transforming structured texts into different formats, how does that work? | Software | Forums | MacTechNews.de

I currently have to create various guides for practical exercises. As a rule, these consist of a collection of images (screenshots, hardware photos, etc.) and short comments to explain or describe the tasks. I am currently using an ancient Word template, and maintain the images and the respective texts in one table one. The documents are then exported to PDF format and, if necessary, printed or used as a digital version. Lately there have been more and more requests "... can I have that as a PPT?", "... we can do it with HTML put it online?" and each time someone has to convert it manually. Years ago I heard about XML and XSLT, but didn't bother too much. I am now looking for a solution with which I can add my images and texts in the form of a website, then set up the document structure (name, chapter, etc.) and then select templates, e.g. to be able to create PDF etc. I would like to create the templates myself or have them created. EDIT: For example something like Xeditor and Xpublisher. Do any of you know of appropriate solutions for use in companies?
