Düsseldorf: Clinics require corona tests from visitors

The St. Martinus Hospital in Bilk recently introduced compulsory testing for visitors. Patients are allowed to receive visitors from the sixth day of their stay, but only if they can show a negative rapid test that is not older than 30 hours and was taken at a recognized test center. The tests can also be carried out directly on site: a rapid antigen test is possible on weekdays from 1 to 4 p.m. (free of charge) in the rooms of the day clinic (entrance Völklinger Straße). The hospital justifies the decision with the fact that "with a view to the incidence development in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area, every visit poses a risk to the patient, but also to employees and fellow patients".
