Seven online supermarkets in the 2020 CHIP test

The disadvantage of this is that when buying online, the customer is dependent on the thoroughness of the sender, while the goods can be checked immediately in the store. The former does not always go well, as our test of seven online supermarkets showed, for which we checked and compared the range, quality and delivery service again this year. Rewe, last year's winner, was once again able to take the lead. Real, on the other hand, was disappointed. The provider took second place as a newcomer in 2019, but has dropped significantly and is now in sixth place. The result of Getnow is more pleasing. The start-up was late for the last test, but now manages to finish third. Bottom light is repeatedly MyTime.de.

All test participants had to face the same challenges as last year: we ordered the same or at least comparable extensive shopping basket from all suppliers, which also specifically contains problematic products: eggs and pretzel sticks, the fragility of which requires care in packaging and transport. Fruit and vegetables that should ideally be at the right level of ripeness. Orders for frozen food (pizza and ice cream) are particularly exciting. In order to put the reliability to the test, we ordered everything twice: once to the editorial address near the city center and secondly to a private address in the Munich area.
