From Daphne Bridgerton to The Iceberg that Sank the Titanic, these 16 rising stars are behind the characters that have entertained audiences through lockdowns and stay-at-home orders. Looking ahead, they present the titles that are leaving audiences behind to be multiplexed.

Some talent, like Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor and Nicola Coughlan, had their breakout moments in the midst of the pandemic, while others like West Side Story's Rachel Zegler are still awaiting their belated big breaks to reach reopened theaters. From Overcoming Barriers in the From superhero space, like Batgirl star Leslie Grace, to infusing established franchises (see: Dominique Fishback, who will helm the new Transformers), this year's class will continue to play a major role in studio and streamer slates.

They join a roster that has included established stars in recent years like Midsommar actress Florence Pugh, Atlanta's LaKeith Stanfield and Shang-Chi's Simu Liu. They all navigate an industry that's rapidly changing around them. Like Xolo As Maridueña of Cobra Kai puts it, "I don't have the manual or the book 'Acting in Your Early 20s for Dummies' yet."
