For users, the new policy means that they can book a premium service or subscribe to a media or streaming app comparatively easily without paying a commission to Apple. Technically, however, this does not take place in the application for the App Store, but outside in a web browser. The link directs users to the right place and they do not have to search for the subscription area. However, the completed subscriptions do not then appear in the overview list that Apple offers within the App Store application for subscriptions that were closed as so-called in-app purchases.
